Get Cosy in Melbourne on Valentine’s Day
11.02.19
I think everyone at some point has imagined themselves cosying up to that special someone in a quaint, romantic restaurant on Valentine’s Day.
Well, this is the year and to help you get this off your bucket list, we’re giving you our top three.
First up is Hogget Kitchen, a restaurant with a stunning backdrop and a menu whose ingredients follow Trevor Perkins philosophy that they should speak for themselves.
A huge supporter of local produce, the restaurant also prepares its meat dishes in-house, ensuring their wonderfully fresh flavours and textures are enjoyed in the dining experience.
Hogget Kitchen’s offering is wonderfully straight forward. An award-winning menu matched to a perfectly balanced wine list, the perfect recipe to make your Valentine’s Day one to remember.
Inverleigh Cellar & Kitchen (ICK)
Situated in a quaint weatherboard property, ICK has undergone a recent facelift to reflect the more laidback offering to your dining experience. Like many of Melbourne’s award-winning restaurants, ICK uses locally sourced produce to bring their European inspired menu to life.
From the wonderfully presented and cosy atmosphere to the flexible menu and the marvellous wine list, ICK offers you that perfect blend of wonderful food laid back atmosphere and experience.
I must start with a confession, I love this restaurant. If I could have a cosy little place to sit, eat, chat, drink and laugh the night away in Melbourne, this would be it!
Is it small? Yeah, it is, but it has so much to offer a nice dining experience on Valentine’s Day.
Whilst the menu changes every week, the one common theme is that it’s Italian food, with a somewhat healthy twist.
This Valentine’s Day there is a special offering with Chef Bea preparing a 3 Course Menu with lots of options to choose from to satisfy all tastes.
Tip: Get in early otherwise you’ll miss a spot!
